At La Côte de Bœuf, we bring the essence of traditional French cuisine to the heart of Koh Samui. Behind this warm and welcoming garden restaurant is a passionate duo, Hervé and Valérie whose love for food and hospitality has guided them through more than 40 years of culinary adventure.

Chef Hervé, born in Lyon, has spent decades honing his craft in renowned kitchens across France and Switzerland. Throughout his career, he and Valérie managed several restaurants and hotels, gaining recognition for their excellence, including a Michelin star. Their journey has always been driven by a shared love for good food, meaningful experiences, and creating places where people feel at home.

Fascinated by Thailand and its vibrant culture, they chose to settle in Koh Samui to share their French savoir-faire in a unique island setting. At La Côte de Bœuf, you’ll find generous dishes made from fresh market ingredients, premium meats, and carefully selected French imports, all served in a laid-back, friendly garden atmosphere that captures the soul of a true French bistro.

By his side, Valérie brings her deep knowledge of hospitality and a natural sense of warmth that makes every guest feel at home. Together, they’ve built a team that shares their dedication to quality and service from the grill to the garden, from the plate to your table.
